Privacy and cookies

In short

• We use no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.
• We have no user accounts and collect no personal data by default.
• Fonts, images, video thumbnails and sounds are hosted on this site – no third-party request is made when pages load.
• Third-party services load only if you choose them (start a video, load the discussions, send the ideas form, go to the membership platform or a donation page) or if you follow a link.
• We collect no payment data: donations are made on the PayPal website.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies. We use the browser's local storage (localStorage) only for three preferences you choose – the “Evening reading” theme, the text size and the site language – which stay on your device and are not sent to us. That is why we show no cookie banner. If we ever add statistics or other services that require consent, we will ask for your consent before switching them on.

Third-party services, at your request

• YouTube videos. The thumbnails are on our server. Only when you click a video does the YouTube player load in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com, Google). From that moment Google may process your IP address and use browser storage, under its own policy. “On YouTube” links take you to youtube.com.
• Donations (PayPal). The “Donate” button is a plain link that opens the PayPal payment page in a new tab. Payment takes place only on the PayPal website, which processes payment data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. On tuesticauza.ro you never enter, and we never collect, payment data (card, bank account). From PayPal we receive only the information it shows to the recipient of a payment (usually the display name, amount, date and optional message), which we use only to keep a record of donations and for legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
• Thank-you page (optional). If you ask to appear on the thank-you page, you send us through the form a display name, how you want to appear (name or anonymous), an optional dedication and your e-mail address. The form is processed by the form provider (Formspree or Tally) on our behalf. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We publish only the display name (or “Anonymous”) and the dedication – never the amount or the e-mail; the e-mail is used only for confirmation. You can withdraw your consent at any time and we remove you from the page on request.
• Members (Patreon) – in preparation. Memberships are not open yet. When they open, payment and member accounts will be handled by Patreon as an external processor, and this page will be updated before launch.
• Personal watermark on downloads. Files downloaded by Inner Circle members are marked with a member code to protect copyright (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep only the link between code and account, while you are a member and for at most 3 years afterwards, in case of infringements. See also the terms for members.
• Contact form (Formspree). When you write to us through the contact form, your name (optional), e-mail address and message are sent to Formspree, which processes them on our behalf. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use the data only to reply to you and never publish it. Retention: at most 12 months or until you withdraw consent.
• Discussions (Giscus / GitHub). When you press “Load the discussions”, your browser connects to giscus.app and to GitHub (Microsoft). They may receive your IP address and your GitHub account data if you sign in. Posted messages are public on GitHub and subject to GitHub's policy.
• Ideas form (Formspree or Tally). The data you send (the idea, optionally name and e-mail) is passed to the form provider, which processes it on our behalf. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use it only to evaluate the idea and, if you left an e-mail, to reply. Retention: at most 12 months or until you withdraw consent.
• Social networks and library. Links to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, the two Facebook pages (Romanian and English) and james-allen.in1woord.nl take you to their sites, with their own privacy policies.

Technical hosting logs

Like any web server, the hosting provider may technically record the IP address and time of access for security and operation. We have no access to your browsing profile.

Your rights

Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing. You can write to us at the contact address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), www.dataprotection.ro.
