Text of the meditation
Life is more than motion, it is Music; more than rest, it is Peace; more than work, it is Duty; more than labour, it is Love. Let the impure turn to Purity, and they will be pure; let the weak turn to Strength, and they will be strong; let the ignorant turn to Knowledge, and they will be wise.
Everything is within a person's reach, and each chooses what they will have. Today they choose in ignorance; tomorrow they will choose in wisdom. They will "work out their own salvation," whether they believe it or not, for they cannot escape themselves, nor hand to someone else the eternal responsibility for their own soul.
No theological trick will fool the Law of their being, which will shatter all their selfish excuses and makeshifts for right thinking and right doing. Nor will God do for them what their soul is destined to accomplish for itself. Life is more than enjoyment, it is Blessedness.
